About Us

Established in 1925 by R. J. Marcuse, Sr on the “North Side” of Fort Worth, Texas, our company was a backyard business until 1933.

Then the company moved into its current location at 3501 N Main St just north of the historic Stockyards, “Where The West Begins.”  Mr. Marcuse repaired autos, bought and sold machinery of all kinds and forged and machined parts.  

In 1946, R. J. Marcuse, Jr became a partner and in 1968, R. J. Marcuse III started work in the shop. Air compressors, parts and repairs became the dominant theme in 1990.  All the while, buildings were built, inventory expanded and services offered all over Tarrant and Dallas Counties and beyond.

After four, yes 4!!, generations – the company is still owned by a Marcuse family member. Traditionally it passed from father to son. However, in 2017 a daughter was next in line.  Sydney “Syd” English is now the president, making business history in Fort Worth as a certified Woman Owner.

We pride ourselves on having a vast library of knowledge (not to mention a huge parts inventory) accumulated over the life of the company. Certain elements have passed from Marcuse to Marcuse as an oral database, an unwritten storehouse of industrial knowledge.

The company has evolved from a local neighborhood enterprise to a formal corporation, a national leader in the industry.  It continues its informal family culture while providing exceptional service and products.

We never charge for technical advice or manuals.  Our customers expect and get quality work for a reasonable price.
